🌐 XGS-PON Line Activation via Swisscom Splashpage

How to activate an XGS-PON fibre line via the Swisscom splashpage when the router's MAC address has not yet been registered.

Why is this procedure needed?

When activating a new XGS-PON fibre line, Swisscom sometimes needs to associate the line with your device. If the MAC address of your router or firewall was not provided in advance, the connection will not be established automatically.

In this case, the line must be activated via the Swisscom splashpage using an activation code, before Internet access becomes operational.

Step 1 — Configure the router in DHCP (VLAN 10)

Regardless of your final line type (DHCP or PPPoE), start by configuring your router in DHCP with VLAN 10:

ParameterValue
ProtocolDHCP
VLAN ID10
UsernameNone

See the BX/AON and XGS-PON Fibre Configuration (DHCP) page for details depending on your router.

Once connected to the network, the router will receive a provisional IP address allowing access to the splashpage.

Step 2 — Open the Swisscom splashpage

From a device connected to the router, open a browser and go to:

https://www.swisscom.ch/splashpage/guest/app/AccessId/de/

Step 3 — Enter the activation details

The splashpage requires 3 pieces of information:

InformationWhere to find it
Activation codeCorresponds to the NSN — available in your MaxiConnect customer area at my2.maxiconnect.ch
Fibre socket numberShown on the wall-mounted fibre optic socket or in your customer area
Plug numberUsually plug 2 for MaxiConnect lines

Fill in the fields and confirm the procedure.

Step 4 — Check the status and restart

Once the procedure is complete, wait until the status shows Line activated.

Then:

  1. Completely power off the router
  2. Wait 10–15 seconds
  3. Power on the router again

The Internet connection will be established automatically.

Special case — Line ordered with PPPoE (fixed IP)

If your line is configured with PPPoE and a fixed IP, first complete steps 1 to 4 above using DHCP / VLAN 10 to activate the line.

Once the line is activated and the router has restarted, update the configuration:

ParameterFinal value
ProtocolPPPoE
VLAN ID11
UsernameProvided by MaxiConnect
PasswordProvided by MaxiConnect

See the PPPoE Fibre Configuration (with credentials) page for details.
