DECT Panasonic KX-TGP600 – VoIP Configuration

Step-by-step guide to configure a MaxiConnect SIP line on the Panasonic KX-TGP600 DECT base via the web administration interface.

Overview

The Panasonic KX-TGP600 is an IP DECT base that connects up to 6 cordless handsets on a SIP VoIP line. This guide explains how to register your MaxiConnect line.

Before you start, have your SIP credentials ready — available in your customer portal at my.maxiconnect.ch.

Step 1: Enable Web Access from the Handset

The base’s web interface is disabled by default. To enable it, use one of the registered handsets:

  1. Press Menu
  2. Go to Setting Handset
  3. Select Other Option
  4. Select Embedded Web
  5. Choose On

Web access is now enabled.

Step 2: Access the Web Interface

  1. Find the base’s IP address (shown in the handset menu under Menu → Setting Handset → Other Option → IP Setting, or from your router interface)
  2. Open a browser and enter the base’s IP address
  3. Log in with the default credentials:
Field Default value
Username admin
Password adminpass

Security tip: Change the administrator password after the first login via Maintenance → Password.

Step 3: Enable Multi-Number Mode

To register multiple SIP lines:

  1. Go to System Settings
  2. Enable the Enable Multi Number option
  3. Click Save

Step 4: Configure the MaxiConnect SIP Account

  1. Go to VoIPLine Settings
  2. Select the line to configure (e.g. Line 1)
  3. Fill in the following parameters:
Parameter Value
Line Enable On
Display Name Your name or number
Phone Number Your SIP number (e.g. 021 XXX XX XX)
Authentication ID Your SIP identifier
Authentication Password Your SIP password
Registrar Server sip.phone.maxiconnect.ch
Registrar Port 5060
Outbound Proxy Leave empty — not required with MaxiConnect
SIP Domain sip.phone.maxiconnect.ch
Registration Interval 3600
  1. Click Save

Step 5: Assign the Line to Handsets

  1. Go to Call ControlLine Assignment (or Handset Settings)
  2. For each handset, select the SIP line(s) to use for incoming and outgoing calls
  3. Click Save

Step 6: Verify Registration

  1. Go to StatusVoIP Status (or Line Status)
  2. The line should display the status Registered

If the status shows Not Registered or Failed, check your SIP credentials and server address.

Parameter Recommendation
Main codec G.711 PCMA / G.711 PCMU
SIP port 5060 (UDP)
RTP ports 10000–20000 (UDP)
QoS Enable voice priority on your router
NAT Enable STUN if behind a strict NAT

Factory Reset (if necessary)

If you experience configuration issues, you can reset the base to factory settings:

  • Via the web interface: Maintenance → Factory Default → Execute
  • Via the handset: Menu → Setting Handset → Other Option → Reset → Base Reset

Warning: The reset deletes all SIP accounts and configuration. Handsets will need to be re-registered.
