What is VoLTE?
VoLTE (Voice over LTE) allows you to make voice calls over the 4G network rather than the older 3G network. Since the shutdown of the 3G network in Switzerland, VoLTE is essential for making calls. It offers better audio quality (HD Voice) and a faster connection.
Requirements
- A VoLTE-compatible smartphone
- An active MaxiConnect SIM card
- 4G network coverage in your area
Enabling by manufacturer
Samsung
- Open Settings
- Tap Connections
- Select Mobile networks
- Enable VoLTE calls (or HD calls)
Xiaomi / Redmi / POCO
- Open Settings
- Tap SIM & mobile network
- Select your MaxiConnect SIM card
- Enable VoLTE calls
Huawei / Honor
- Open Settings
- Tap Mobile network
- Enable Enable VoLTE or VoLTE calls
Google Pixel
- Open Settings
- Tap Network & Internet
- Select SIM then your card
- Tap Call preferences
- Enable VoLTE calls
OnePlus
- Open Settings
- Tap Wi-Fi & network
- Select SIM & network
- Enable VoLTE calls
Option not visible?
If the VoLTE option is not visible:
- Restart your phone after inserting the SIM card
- Check that your device is listed in the VoLTE compatible devices list
- Make sure your phone is using the 4G network (not 3G or 2G)
