🌐 Speed test: check your MaxiConnect connection

Run a reliable speed test on your MaxiConnect broadband, understand your download, upload and ping results, and diagnose speeds that fall below your subscribed plan.

Why run a speed test?

A speed test lets you verify that your internet connection is delivering the speeds included in your plan. It is also a useful diagnostic tool when experiencing slowness.

How to run a reliable test

To get accurate results, follow these conditions:

  1. Connect via Ethernet cable (not Wi-Fi) directly to the router
  2. Close all applications using the internet (updates, streaming, cloud backup)
  3. Run the test 3 times and note the average
  4. Choose a server close to your location (Switzerland)

A Wi-Fi test may give results lower than your actual plan — this is normal. Wi-Fi depends on distance, walls and interference.


Understanding the results

Download speed

The speed at which you receive data (streaming, downloads). This is the most important value for browsing and video.

Upload speed

The speed at which you send data (video conferencing, file transfers, backup). Crucial for remote work.

Ping (latency)

Response time in milliseconds. The lower, the better.

Results may vary slightly depending on the time of day and network load. A 10–15% variation is normal.


Abnormally low results?

If your results are significantly below your plan:

  1. Test via Ethernet cable (not Wi-Fi)
  2. Make sure your router is up to date
  3. Restart the box and router
  4. Contact our support with a screenshot of your test
