Enable VoLTE on iPhone (iOS)

VoLTE (Voice over LTE) allows you to make calls via the 4G or 5G network instead of the 3G network.

🍎 Which iPhones support VoLTE?

VoLTE is available on all recent iPhones:

iPhone 7 and later models

iPhone SE (all generations)

iPhone 11 and newer

👉 It is recommended that you have the latest version of iOS installed.

🔧 How to activate VoLTE on iPhone

Steps:

Open Settings
Tap Mobile Data
Select Options
Tap Voice & Data
Choose:

5G Enabled AND VoLTE Enabled

✅ If 4G or 5G is selected with voice enabled, VoLTE is active.

🔍 How to check that VoLTE is working

During a call:

The 4G or 5G indicator remains displayed at the top of the screen

The phone does not switch to 3G

If your iPhone displays 3G or H+ during the call, VoLTE is not enabled.

⚠️ The VoLTE option does not appear?

Check the following:

The SIM card is inserted correctly
Mobile data is enabled
iOS software is up to date
The phone is compatible

If necessary, restart your iPhone.
